The head of the parliamentary group of the opposition Democratic Party (DS), Borislav Stefanović, demanded today that the mayor of Belgrade, Siniša Mali, be immediately dismissed or resign due to the scandals connected with his name.
He said this in a parliamentary question to the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, at the beginning of the plenary session of the Serbian Parliament.
The deputy of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Aleksandar Marković said that the ruling party supports the request to investigate all affairs, including those related to the leader of the DS and the provincial prime minister Bojan Pajtić.
Marković, in response to Stefanović, repeated the words of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić that Mali will bear the consequences if he is proven guilty.
Previously, Borislav Stefanović asked Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić whether, as the president of the largest party, he would allow Mali to continue to be mayor when there is a well-founded suspicion, supported by the evidence published by KRIK, that he appropriated state land in Vojvodina through his father and as an offshore director company bought apartments in Bulgaria.
"We expect the competent state authorities to start doing their work regarding the activities of Malo," said Stefanović.
Progressive Aleksandar Marković called on the authorities to investigate all the affairs surrounding Pajtic, starting with the embezzlement in the Development Bank of Serbia, and ending with the construction of a home for handicapped children in Novi Bečej.
"We also expect the authorities to investigate all affairs. I will remind you that in Belgrade we inherited a historical debt of 25 percent of GDP and that we managed to reduce that debt by half," said Marković.
Marković also asked the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government whether the Statute of the Municipality of Vračar was violated, since, as he said, its premises are used for party forums that serve to promote the DS.
Borko Stefanović asked the Minister of Justice Nikola Selaković how it is possible for the High Court to again postpone the execution of the sentence against Kristijan Golubović, who is competent and responsible for it, given that, as he said, citizens' property is being seized for debts of 3.000 dinars at the same time.
Stefanović also asked the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, Aleksandar Vulin, if he is familiar with the practice of parallel salaries in central Serbia and Kosovo and Metohija, where individuals earn good money.
