There will be around 1.200 policemen at the rally in Srebrenica: "No special measures because of Vučić"

The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska Dragan Lukač announced today that around 1.200 police officers from Republika Srpska will be engaged in securing the commemorative gathering in Potočari near Srebrenica on July 11 and that he expects everything to go smoothly.

Lukač told the journalists in Banja Luka that there will be no particularly increased security measures due to the announced arrival of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić in Potočare.

Security measures are at such a level that there is no need to change anything, said the RS Police Minister.

Lukač said that, according to some estimates, more than 80 delegations will attend the commemorative meeting in Potočari.

He added that "he has information from the field that the Bosniak Peace March, which has already set off from Nezuk towards Srebrenica, does not have any war flags, T-shirts or any provocative symbols for now".

"We will not allow anyone to interrupt that march, because no one has the right to do so. The RS Police will prevent it and enable the march to take place without problems and as planned," said Lukač, commenting on the announcements of the Association of War Disabled Veterans from Zvornik that will "cut" the way for the participants of the Peace March if they wear provocative insignia and war flags of the BiH Army.

And the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Aljoša Čampara, said that at the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an Operational Headquarters was formed to secure the commemorative gathering in Potočari and expressed the hope that everything would go smoothly and peacefully.
