Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić met with Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama upon his arrival in Tirana.
"Serbia treats Kosovo and will continue to treat it as its integral part," said Vučić.
"We didn't just talk about diplomacy, we talked about the development of tourism and how to motivate Serbian citizens to come to Tirana and vice versa. We're on the right track, we have to work on it. The fact is that we don't agree on the issue of Kosovo and Metohija," Vučić said. , emphasizing that he came on behalf of the citizens of Serbia.
"These problems are not solved by war, but by dialogue," said Vučić and said that Serbia and Albania are neighbors, and that is why they should take the fate of the Western Balkan region into their own hands.
"We think differently, we speak differently. But that is not related to how we work together. Thank you Albania for the invitation. The relationship between Serbia and Albania is important for the Balkans. Relations can always be better," said Vučić.
The meeting of the two Prime Ministers in the Brigada Palace is the second bilateral meeting between Vučić and Rama, but it is the first in the history of the visit of a Prime Minister of Serbia to the Albanian capital.
Vučić was given a festive welcome in front of the palace, where official talks are held, with the singing of the anthems of the two countries and a review of the guard, and he was welcomed by Rama.
Vučić was previously met at the airport by Deputy Prime Minister Niko Peljesi.
The vehicle carrying Vučić and his entourage was escorted from the airport through the city under high security measures and escorted by a military helicopter.
The meeting with Ram started before 12 o'clock, and after that Vučić will talk with the President Bujar Nišani, then the Speaker of the Parliament Iljir Meta and the Mayor of Tirana Ljuljzim Baša.
On the eve of the visit, Vučić said that Serbia wants good relations with Tirana, while Rama said that Serbia and Albania in the Balkans should be what France and Germany were in Europe after World War II.
