Macedonian Alfa Television reported today that the identity of five of the total of 40 armed persons who attacked the guardhouse in the village of Gošnice last night has been established, stating that they are all from Gnjilan and that their leader is a certain commander Dževair Ademi.
On the website of that television, it was announced that the five are known to Macedonian security services and services in the region.
Last night, 40 armed masked persons, most likely from Kosovo, stormed the guardhouse in the Macedonian village of Gošince, in the municipality of Lipkovo.
Gošince watchtower is located above Kumanovo, on the border with Kosovo. In the immediate vicinity is the Tanuševci watchtower, and these are the two points that were first attacked in 2001, when KLA members in that area declared free territory.
Macedonian MUP spokesman Ivo Kotevski confirmed earlier today that a terrorist attack was carried out in the village of Gošince, when 40 masked and armed persons with KLA insignia occupied a guardhouse where four policemen were on duty for several hours.
According to him, the attack took place at 2.30:XNUMX a.m., and after the intrusion of armed persons, the policemen were disarmed, three were tied up, they were beaten while recording on camera, Macedonian Fokus reported.
The attackers, Kotevski said, spoke Albanian, and one of them spoke to the police in bad Macedonian with the words: "We are members of the KLA, tell everyone that neither Nikola Gruevski nor Ali Ahmeti can save you, no one can come up here because they will all be liquidated".
When the attackers left, he added, the policeman, whose hands were not tied, drove the other three colleagues and together they went down to the village on foot.
