Trial of Mišković: Milo Đurašković denied guilt

The trial of the owner of Delta Holding, Miroslav Mišković, the owner of the Nibens Group, Milo Đurašković, and the other defendants continued today before the Special Court in Belgrade, and Đurašković's defense denied the allegations in the indictment.

The defendants are being tried for abuses in the company for the production of lubricants FAM from Kruševac, road companies and tax evasion.

The trial continued with the opening statements of the defense, so Milo Đurašković's defense attorney, lawyer Zoran Ateljević, stated that his client was not guilty and that he did everything according to the law.

In his presentation, he emphasized that Đurašković pledged his private property so that he could take a loan of 23 million euros for the purchase of road companies.

"Why would he mortgage his family home, so that Mišković (Miroslav) would earn 200.000 euros, why would he risk so much for the richest man in Southeast Europe, that would be economic suicide," said Ateljević.

In addition to Ateljević, at today's hearing, the lawyers of the accused Milutin Gašević, Zoran Mihailović and Dejan Jeftić made their opening statements.

The trial of Miroslav Mišković started all over again on February 10, as the indictments for abuses in the road companies and the FAM company were joined together.

15 persons are charged in the joint proceedings: Miroslav Mišković, his son Marko, Milo Đurašković, Dejan Jeftić, Risto Ristić, Bora Jelić, Branislav Jovanović, Ljiljana Kostić, Srđan Filipović, Milutin Gašević, Zoran Mihailović, Zdravko Rašo, Predrag Filipović, Živojin Petrović. and Jadranka Badrić.

According to the indictment for abuses in FAM, along with Đurašković, seven other people are accused of damaging that company for 3,3 billion dinars, as well as providing Đurašković, as the owner of the corporation "Šer", with an illegal benefit of 1,7 billion dinars.

According to the indictment for abuses in road companies, Đurašković, Miroslav Miškovcih and nine other defendants are on the dock.

The indictment charges them that from 2005 to 2010, they damaged the road companies, from which they illegally extracted money, for 16,95 billion dinars, and through tax evasion, the budget of Serbia for 472 million dinars.
