In the catastrophic floods that hit part of Serbia in May, 57 people died, 23 of them drowned.
This was stated by State Secretary in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Aleksandar Nikolić, at the Parliamentary Committee for Defense and Internal Affairs.
He said that 31.879 citizens were evacuated during the floods.
At the meeting of that committee, the report of the Government of Serbia on floods and rescue measures is on the agenda today.
