The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, has scheduled an emergency meeting in Sarajevo for tonight due to the protests of workers and citizens of several cities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The director of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Director of the Federal Police Administration and the Chief Federal Prosecutor, as well as the Prime Ministers, Ministers of the Interior, Police Commissioners and Chief Prosecutors of the Sarajevo, Tuzla and Zenica-Doboj cantons were invited to the meeting.
Citizen protests were held today in several cities in the Federation. In Sarajevo, citizens protested in front of the Sarajevo Canton Government building to support the workers who have been protesting for two days in Tuzla.
Demonstrators tried to enter the cantonal government building, after which the special police intervened.
In the conflict between citizens and the police, four police officers were injured when tear gas was thrown at them.
