The prosecutor of the Office of the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo (KSTK) heard today the leader of the Civic Initiative "Freedom, Democracy, Justice" Oliver Ivanović in connection with the war crimes investigation and subsequently issued a warrant for his arrest.

During the day, Ivanović voluntarily came to the police station in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, where he was questioned by a prosecutor from the KSTK, after a prior agreement between the prosecutor and Ivanović's lawyer, Eulex announced.

"Subsequently, the prosecutor interviewed Ivanovic as an alleged suspect in the ongoing war crimes investigation, as well as allegations of aggravated murder committed after the conflict. The investigation was completed and the prosecutor issued an arrest warrant and asked the court to consider a request for detention," the announcement states, reports Tanjug.

The statement adds that the request for detention has been submitted to the court.

According to information, Ivanovic is in the KSTK office in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica.
