Serbian customs officials at the Merdare customs point two days ago prevented a Serbian citizen from smuggling 4.500 ampoules of testosterone from the territory of Kosovo.

As announced on Friday by the Serbian Customs Administration, anabolics were discovered during a detailed inspection of a Renault Espace car coming from the direction of Kosovo.

"A total of 4.500 ampoules packed in 900 boxes were found in a specially made bunker located under the lower part of the vehicle, in the engine and in the place intended for the spare wheel and under the instrument panel. In the same place, 2 bags containing almost 9 grams of marijuana," the statement said.

It is added that, considering that the value of the discovered goods exceeds a third of the value of the means of transport, as well as the fact that it was constructed for the purpose of smuggling, the vehicle and the goods were temporarily detained.

Testosterone depot is one of the most commonly used anabolic steroids that replaces the concentration of the male hormone testosterone.

It has been noted that it is used by the population that wants to increase muscle mass, however, its use without medical supervision can lead to a series of unwanted phenomena such as increased blood pressure, heart attack and brain hemorrhage.
