The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, said today in Washington that the preservation of stability in Kosovo and Metohija is one of the key priorities, and that is why it is very important that the KFOR mission remains in an undiminished composition on the territory of Kosovo, the government announced. In a conversation with US Senator Ron Johnson, chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Europe, Brnabić thanked the senator for his past advocacy for Serbia and the region within his Subcommittee, and both expressed hope for a new phase of relations between Serbia and the USA. "US support for Serbia's European integration process is important for us," Brnabić said, adding that Serbia is committed to EU membership and strengthening regional stability and cooperation. Johnson said that Serbia and the Western Balkans are important to the US and that Washington will continue to support reform processes in the region. He was also interested in economic topics, so Brnabić informed him about the results of structural reforms and told him that Serbia is open for business and investments. The interlocutors agreed that improving relations is in the interest of both countries.
