The mayor of Trebinje, Slavko Vučurević, shot BN Television journalist and Buka portal associate Nebojša Vukanović with a voice recorder at the press conference today.
Portal 6yka.com. reports that Vučurević did this after Vukanović placed the recorder in the place provided for it.
"The attack on Nebojša Vukanović turned into a direct insult by the mayor, and the offended and humiliated journalists were ready to leave the conference," the portal writes.
The mayor did not spare any words for other journalists either, and on several occasions he shouted, so the journalists suggested that he talk "normally" and stop attacking journalists.
Vučurević said that he was born in the countryside and that talking loudly is a habit, because he "often called out from the surrounding hills".
Trebinje Live reports that Vučurević suggested the journalist buy a liter of olive oil.
"Buy a liter of olive oil and swallow the election campaign. Slavko Vučurević is the mayor! When you win, I will respect that," Vučurević told the journalist.
Judging by the course of the press conference, the mayor did not like the question about employment in city services, the media reports.
