Former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein helped Slobodan Milosevic financially during the trial at the Hague Tribunal, said Hussein's former lawyer Bushra Halil.
"The whole process required a lot of expenses. The lawyer's services cost a lot, and Husein, sensing what was going to happen, decided to support the deposed president of Yugoslavia," she told the Voice of Russia.
"Should we explain what motivated Saddam Hussein? Did he foresee the situation that is happening today in the Arab countries and the situation with the geopolitical doctrine in the world?", she asked.
According to her, the "violation of sovereignty" began in Yugoslavia. All the events that followed "like a tsunami" on all continents prove that, said Bushra Halil.
Hussein was overthrown in April 2003 and executed by hanging, and Bushra Halil defended him in court.
