In Nis, Serbia, one child was killed and another seriously injured last night when their mother pushed them off the terrace, and then jumped herself and died, the Nis police announced this morning.

The tragedy in which the mother AS (35) pushed the children from the terrace of the fourth floor on Trg kralja Aleksandra took place half an hour after midnight.
Two-year-old KS died, and five-year-old AS suffered serious injuries and was placed in the Clinical Center in Nis, the police said. The on-site investigation was carried out by investigative authorities, the prosecutor and the police.
The girl A.S., who was pushed off the terrace by her mother last night, was admitted to the Children's Surgery Clinic in Niš.
The girl has several fractures and an injured spleen, but despite the serious injuries, her life is not in danger.
