Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić is on a private visit to New York with his daughter, the Voice of America has learned unofficially. The diplomatic mission of Serbia in New York has nothing to do with Vučić's visit to the USA, nor is it in contact with him on that occasion, it was announced on the Voice of America portal.
Vučić confirmed on Twitter that he is in the USA, and that trip was not announced.
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić refused to answer whether she was aware of the president's foreign policy activities. Vuk Jeremić stands by his claims about the secret meeting with Tachi, reports N1.
The fact that Vučić is in the USA was revealed to the public by the leader of the People's Party, Vuk Jeremić, who claims that the visit should have remained a secret. Vučić's party colleagues confirmed that the president is in New York, and Serbian Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacić and Brnabić do not reveal whether they are aware of the potential foreign policy activities of the Serbian president.
Vučić most often publishes his diplomatic activities and meetings around the world. Vuk Jeremić, the president of the People's Party, is convinced that he wanted the last trips to remain a secret.
"My knowledge is that the dinner last Tuesday in Paris took place between him and Hashim Thaci, my knowledge is also, but now the whole of Serbia already knows, that he is in New York and that this visit is not completely transparent, that is that it is shrouded in secrecy," says Jeremić.
Why, Jeremić wonders, did Vučić ask to go to New York without security and was the flight delayed that day because of his conference?
"I am asking you, since I am going to a distant world, to ask only a few questions, so that I can go," said Vučić at a press conference on Saturday.
Jeremic claims that the fact that Vučić dined "in one of the most expensive and famous New York restaurants" at the same time as American billionaire George Soros.
"I ask the question whether it is a coincidence or whether the meeting between Vučić and Soros brought some news about which I have no information at the moment," says Jeremić.
The answer to Jeremic personally came quickly from Vučić's Twitter account.
"Vuk Jeremić is right. I was supposed to have dinner in a New York restaurant with the Soros family, but they also canceled because they saw that Angela Merkel canceled my meeting in Berlin. Unfortunately, I didn't have the opportunity to meet with Kim from the Soros family," wrote Vučić.

N1 did not find out what the Serbian foreign minister knew about the trip, because Dacic did not respond to their messages. Ali is the president of the Government of Serbia.
"I know that Vuk Jeremić knows nothing, just as he knew that Angela Merkel will not receive President Vučić, about everything else, I am not President Vučić's spokesperson, so I think you should contact the president's cabinet. I know that they answer everyone's questions, and as far as I know Suzana Vasiljević, I know that she is easily accessible, so there is no need for me to be the spokesperson of the cabinet," said the Prime Minister.
Vučić's media advisor, however, did not respond to calls and messages, and only SNS vice-president Milenko Jovanov announced that Vučić would inform citizens about his activities immediately after returning from New York and Brussels.
