Dodik: This is a fight against the Serbs remaining in Kosovo and Metohija

Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, said today that operation of the Kosovo Special Forces - ROSU a serious blow to the fragile peace in Kosovo and that it cannot be tolerated even by the international community, which is present in Kosovo.

Dodik assessed that Serbia has the right to protect its people, who, as he stated, remained unprotected even by international forces that should guarantee security to all peoples in Kosovo.

"The arguments that this morning's incursion into the north of Kosovo and Metohija is a function of the fight against crime are incoherent, because in order to bring individuals to justice, you don't need to set up special units with long pipes that disturb the entire population of Kosovo and Metohija," said the Serbian member of the Presidency. He added that "the explanation that police officers were arrested in this way is particularly strange."

"They could have been arrested peacefully at their workplaces, if there were grounds for their arrest. That is why it is absolutely clear that this is not a fight against crime. This is a fight against the Serbs remaining in Kosovo and Metohija and an attempt to provoke their new exodus," pointed out Dodik.

The President of Republika Srpska Željka Cvijanović told Srna that the ROSU operation in the north of Kosovo is "another in a series of provocations organized by the authorities in Pristina, emphasizing that self-proclaimed Kosovo is a serious cause of instability in the Western Balkans".

"If it was a fight against crime, then such an action would be conducted in a different way, everything indicates that it is a political action with the use of force, which sends clear messages to the Serbs that there will be no peace in Kosovo and Metohija," she said. she.

According to her, there were again no or "lukewarm" reactions from the international factor.

"Their incendiary, war-mongering rhetoric, full of hatred, which they persistently send towards Serbia and Republika Srpska is also condemnable. Foreigners never talk about that rhetoric either, but they persistently teach us lessons about everything we say," Cvijanović assessed.

The Prime Minister of the Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, supported the leadership of Serbia to protect the Serbs in Kosovo and expressed the hope that the situation would not escalate.

"We support that our people are protected there, no matter how much it costs us," Višković told reporters.

He added that he knows that Serbia is monitoring the situation and that the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has raised the combat readiness of the police and the army to the highest level.
