An anonymous gamer who introduces himself as "Mr. Nobody" has announced his candidacy for the president of Croatia.
He says that as "the most positive politician chosen by the citizens", he decided to address the public via YouTube. He sent a statement to the media and blurred his face in the video.
Although imaginary, he says that he decided to start a campaign for president under the slogan "Let's reset Croatia", and his main goal is to wake up the youth and draw attention to their problems, reports N1.
"For me, young people are the only hope for saving this country. None of the presidential candidates singles them out as a primary target group, so I decided to go public and send them a message. Although the powers of the president are limited, I believe that with today's communication channels, the president can also must exert pressure on the Government and the Parliament in order to implement measures aimed at, among other things, preventing the demographic cataclysm," he said.
"For months now, Mr. Nitko has been one of the most positive politicians in Croatia and is at the very top in terms of the sympathies of the citizens. Encouraged by his popularity, Mr. Nitko believes that it is his duty and responsibility to run for president of the Republic of Croatia, due to the support given to him by the citizens in recent months. Mr. Nitko says he is a "hardcore gamer", a lover of alpinism and climbing, and advocates and promotes the culture of smart cities. He is from Nin, has a wife and a son.
