The capital of Albania, Tirana, was declared the European Youth Capital for 2022, at a ceremony in the French city of Amiens.
Along with Tirana, Croatian Varaždin, Russian Kazan, Romanian Baja Mare and Polish Poznan were in the finals, reports Hina.
The title of European Youth Capital has been awarded by the European Youth Forum since 2009, in order to empower young people, encourage their motivation for political and civic participation, as well as strengthening European identity and creativity.
