Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said today in Tirana that Kosovo gains nothing by refusing to participate in liberalization within the regional initiative "Little Schengen", and that such attitudes are the result of internal politics, which he considers a "dead end for Kosovo".

"This entire process is fully coherent with the ambition that all countries have shown and with the commitment of each country to become part of the European family by joining forces to speed up that process," Rama said, adding that the initiative will set the standards that are in in accordance with the four freedoms of the EU.

He said that it was agreed with the European Commission and the World Bank that at the next meeting, which will be held in February in Belgrade, a draft will be drawn up on the development expected from this initiative.

As he stated, the commission is ready to allocate 1,2 billion euros next year to the countries of the region in order to implement the agreement.

Rama said that the most important thing is good communication, constant dialogue and cooperation in areas where the states agree.

He stated that the initiative will improve the economies of all participating countries, and that malicious comments that free flow will not have a positive impact come from those who do not live in reality.
