The Association for the Protection of Constitutionality and Legality announced that today, along with a performance in front of the Government of Serbia, it will present a petition with 60.000 signatures of citizens to ban reality shows during the state of emergency.
"The petition calls for a ban on the recording of reality programs in accordance with current regulations and an obligation for television stations with a national frequency to broadcast a minimum of one hour of scientific-educational programs, one hour of cultural-artistic and documentary programs, and half an hour of programs for children and minors," the association announced.
They assessed that during the state of emergency, the ban on gatherings applied to the Serbian Parliament, journalists were denied the opportunity to ask questions directly, citizens were arrested en masse for disobeying the measures, and it is obvious that the ban did not apply only to the Happy and Pink television stations, which during the pandemic there were new entries of participants in reality programs.
