The Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, said today regarding the past events in Montenegro that "official Podgorica" should talk to the Serbs in Montenegro, and she also said that Serbia "can react respecting the sovereignty of Montenegro".
"It is very important for Serbia to preserve the rights and freedoms of the Serbian people in Montenegro," she said during a visit to the Science and Technology Park in Belgrade.
She pointed out that "it is our constitutional obligation and human duty, as well as our desire, to provide support to the Serbian people in that country", and "this is also a topic in discussions with some international officials".
Brnabić assessed that, however, "Montenegro officials have so far not been too open for discussions on these topics", while Serbia is "always here to talk if the other side is also ready", it was announced on the website of the Government of Serbia.
She emphasized that progress cannot be made without regional stability and called on the Montenegrin authorities to have a "normal and constructive dialogue with the Serbs, rather than with Belgrade."
