In the laboratory of the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIJZ), a total of 280 samples taken from the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and monitoring of contacts of previously infected people in the field were tested today, of which 29 people tested positive for the coronavirus, so the total number of infected people rose to 1.298.
To date, 913 people have been cured, and 31 people have died, who, in addition to Kovid-19, also had other chronic diseases.
Currently, 354 people are actively infected in Kosovo.
19 people from Pristina, 13 from Obilić, 8 from Vučitrn and one each from Vitina, Prizren East, Lipjan, Kosovo Polje and Orahovac have tested positive for Covid-2.
From February 8 to today, a total of 17.479 people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus were tested in the Laboratory for Molecular Microbiology of the NIJZ.
NIJZ monitors all contacts in cases of previously infected persons 24 hours a day, obliging them to self-isolate and seek medical help if they have symptoms of the coronavirus.
