KRIK journalist Bojana Pavlović had her phone taken away by an unknown man around ten o'clock last night after she photographed the son of the President of Serbia, Danilo Vučić, watching the football derby in the company of Aleksandar Vidojević, a hooligan close to the Kavačac clan.
This happened in the presence of police officers who did not react.
After a short discussion, with Vidojević's approval, the phone was returned to her.
KRIK demands the Ministry of the Interior to determine and say who the people are who took away the journalist's phone.
After a KRIK reader reported to the newsroom that he saw the president's son in the company of hooligans from "Janjičar", the journalist went to the "Piazza dei Fiori" cafe on Cvetno trg, in the very center of Belgrade, a little before ten o'clock tonight.
Danilo Vučić was indeed sitting there in the company of Aleksandar Vidojević, known as Aca Rošavi, and several other men, and they were watching the derby between Zvezda and Partizan on the screen in the cafe.
Vidojević, by the way, is a member of Partizan's fan group "Janjičari" and is currently on trial for demolishing the night club "Komitet" with hooligans from this group.
In the Serbian police base, he is also listed as a member of the Montenegrin kava clan.
The KRIK journalist also recognized Nemanja Srećković, known as Kurt, also a member of this hooligan group.
She took photos of this company from the street through the window, but when she left, she was stopped in Svetozar Markovića Street in front of the Lebanese fast food restaurant "Hanan" by three men who introduced themselves as officials.
Pavlović also introduced herself and showed her journalist ID, but she was told that she had to wait for the police patrol and that she would be taken into custody.
They demanded that he delete the photos from his phone because, as they said, "they could have problems."
The policemen were joined by two other men, who did not act as policemen, nor did they present themselves as such.
The journalist said she was on assignment and asked to call the editor, and one of the newcomers grabbed the phone from her hand, which the police officers did not react to.
After insisting that she be told why her means of employment were taken away, the man who did it said that he didn't have to explain anything because he was a civilian.
Vidojević and Srećković then approached the group, and the policemen then left.
Vidojević told them to return the phone to the journalist, which they did.
He told the journalist that KRIK, with the articles it publishes about him, is endangering his life.
After that they left.
KRIK demands the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia to determine and say who the people were who took the journalist's phone and why the police did not react to it.
He appeals to the state to enable journalists, who are increasingly exposed to pressure, to do their work without hindrance.
Friendship of Vučić's son and Vidojević
This is already the fourth time that Danilo Vučić and Vidojević have been seen together in public.
All of their meetings, from cheering in Russia at the World Cup in football, through celebrating the Day of the Republic of Srpska together and hanging out in a night club, to watching the game last night, speak of their closeness.
It is unclear, however, why the son of the president of Serbia is hanging out with a man who is currently on trial and whom the police associate with a Montenegrin criminal clan.
President Aleksandar Vučić never explained this in public.
Instead, when KRIK journalists recently published one of Vučić's and Vidojević's photos, leading state officials stood up and publicly attacked KRIK for "criminalizing" Danilo Vučić, declaring him a "drug lord" and threatening his life.
