In the continuation of the investigation of the company "Jovanjica" in Serbia, seven more people were arrested, the eighth is in custody, and the ninth is on the run, reports RTS.
Five members of state bodies were arrested: AT and B.R, RB, MK and ZB, as well as MT and SM, announced the Serbian Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime.
"The mentioned persons were detained due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of conspiracy to commit criminal offenses, unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, abuse of official position and falsification of documents," announced TOK.
According to RTS, the members of this organized criminal group, in the period from the beginning of 2019 to November 14, 2019, committed the above-mentioned crimes on the order of the organizer of PK, who is already in custody.
The search is in progress.
All arrested persons have been detained by the police and they will be brought to the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime along with a criminal complaint.
The action was carried out in the joint cooperation of the Security and Information Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, SUK and SBPOK.
