Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić said tonight that Serbia is always open to peaceful protests, as it shows its democratic capacity, but that she believes that due to the coronavirus epidemic, this is not the time for them.
She said that she was satisfied that, as she said, tonight at protest in front of the Serbian Parliament building there are no hooligans, reports Tanjug.
According to Brnabić, there is always time for protests, but this is not the time for it.
"This is not the time, the only and most important fight in which we have to win is the coronavirus, the government cannot do it alone, the government cannot do it with the president, but all of us together," said Brnabić.
She emphasized that the most important thing is to protect the health system of the country.
"I'm sure it's a political protest. Without belittling this gathering, those are the slogans, those slogans are against the president, the government, me personally," said Brnabić.
As she stated, as long as there is no violence and aggressive behavior, she has nothing against protests.
She said that, because of the coronavirus, she would prefer that the protests not take place.
