In the last 24 hours in Serbia, eight more people died as a result of the coronavirus, bringing the total number of deaths to 499.
As the Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar said at the press conference of the Crisis Staff of the Government of Serbia for the suppression of the epidemic, in the last 24 hours 11.521 people were tested, of which the virus was confirmed in 426.
4.619 patients were hospitalized, and 205 were on ventilators.
Since the beginning of the epidemic in Serbia, 580.271 people have been tested, and the virus has been confirmed in 22.031.
Lončar said that today's results "are not for panic" and that it is good news that the number of deaths is decreasing.
"Today is by far the most tested people, and I want to express my gratitude and pride towards the health system of Serbia, which managed to test such a large number of people," said Lončar.
He said that the percentage of those infected is slightly lower compared to the number of those tested.
