Moscow subsequently learned the details of the visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to Washington, and those details caused astonishment in the Russian leadership, writes today's Moscow daily Komersant.
The newspaper states that Moscow was surprised to receive the results of the visit, which was dedicated to a "sarcastic" post by the spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova on social networks.
Dnevnik writes, referring to several sources in the state structures of Russia, that not only the videos from Washington caused astonishment, but also the results of the visit of the President of Serbia, who met with the President of the USA Donald Trump and with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, in the White House.
"Signing the clause on mutual recognition of Kosovo and Israel in Vučić's presence essentially legitimizes Pristina's aspirations for self-determination. Russian authorities, judging by everything, warned the Serbian president about the consequences of some positions from the Washington agreement," writes Kommersant.
The newspaper states, referring to sources in the Russian state structures, that at the same time "Belgrade did not inform Moscow about a whole series of points that entered into that agreement, including the transfer of the embassy to Jerusalem, the recognition of Hezbollah as a terrorist organization and the ban on Chinese technologies.
"President Vučić informed Moscow about the results of his visit to the USA. But only after Maria Zaharova's post," says Kommersant.
