The US President's special envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Richard Grenell, said this evening in Pristina that the visit of his country's high delegation to Kosovo is proof of commitment to the implementation of the agreement from Washington.
"We have come to prove our commitment to the agreement on economic normalization. We know that a lot was promised to Kosovo in the past and we want to advocate for the implementation of the agreement to be continued," he said after the meeting with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti.
He said that the administration of President Trump does not want empty words.
"We want to show the people of Kosovo, who are our allies, that we are with you. We want to help create jobs in order to overcome old political issues," he said.
Kosovo Prime Minister Avdulah Hoti assessed that the visit of the American delegation to Kosovo reveals "the determination and seriousness of Trump and all his associates to achieve the agreement".
Hoti said that all points of the agreement were extensively discussed at the meeting.
"I am honored to say that we will move quickly towards the implementation of this agreement. A new momentum has been created," said Prime Minister Hoti.
The executive director of the American Corporation for International Development Finance, Adam Beller, said that with this visit they are showing their seriousness towards potential investments and that they are providing support to their friends in Kosovo.
