In the last 24 hours, 73 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Serbia, and one person died as a result of the disease, announced the Minister of Health of that country, Zlatibor Lončar.
He said at the press conference that 24 people were tested in the last 6.661 hours, of which 73 were positive for the new coronavirus.
Lončar said that there are 23 patients on ventilators, and that 751 people have died since the beginning of the epidemic.
"There are currently 281 patients undergoing hospital treatment. In the last 24 hours, 44 people were admitted for hospital treatment, and 41 were discharged from hospitals," said Lončar.
He stated that there are places where the number of infected people is increasing.
"It gives us a problem and we want to solve it at the start. I appeal to all local crisis headquarters to sit down at the same moment and adopt appropriate measures," Lončar said.
He added that the number of infected people is increasing in Belgrade, but also in Nis, Kraljevo, Trstenik, and Vranje.
"It's not alarming, but it's a warning," said Lončar.
