The president of the Serbian Patriotic Association (SPAS), Aleksandar Šapić, was re-elected today as the president of the municipality of New Belgrade, it was announced after the session of the municipal assembly.
Aleksandar Šapić said at the session that he hopes that the newly formed parliamentary majority will do everything to make the residents of New Belgrade feel the benefits of the government and that he believes that it will be more successful than the previous one.
This is Šapić's third term as president of the municipality of Novi Beograd.
At today's session, the secretary of the SO Novi Beograd, his deputy, as well as the members of the municipal council were elected by secret ballot.
