The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) today released guidelines for vaccinated citizens, stating that those fully vaccinated can meet indoors without wearing masks or keeping social distance.
In the United States in the last 24 hours, 46.455 were infected with the coronavirus, and 666 died, so the number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic has exceeded 525.000, Johns Hopkins University announced.
Fully vaccinated people can gather with those who are at low risk of developing severe symptoms of covid-19, for example vaccinated grandparents can visit healthy children and grandchildren.
The CDC states that people are not considered "fully vaccinated" until two weeks after receiving the last dose of the vaccine.
The long-awaited CDC guidelines were released after many Americans sought answers about whether they can return to normal life after being fully vaccinated.
More than 30 million Americans have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, and tens of millions more are scheduled to receive the second dose by the end of the month.
