The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia announced that the Vice President of the Government of Montenegro, Dritan Abazović, has bad information, reacting to his statement that the former director of the Montenegrin Real Estate Administration, Dragan Kovačević, who is wanted by the police, is in Serbia.
"Mr. Abazović has recently started to deal with security issues in Montenegro, and that is why we believe that his statement, in which he attacks the state of Serbia and its security structures without evidence and without reason, for not looking for Dragan Kovačević, a Montenegrin citizen and former director of the Real Estate Administration of Montenegro , the result of inexperience and bad information," the MUP press release states.
In order to, as they say, help him in understanding the real situation, the Ministry of Interior of Serbia points out that Montenegro has neither officially nor unofficially informed Serbia that it is looking for the former director of the Montenegrin Real Estate Administration, Dragan Kovačević.

They add that Serbia is a member of Interpol, and that an inspection of the Interpol system did not find a Montenegrin warrant for Kovačević.
"If Montenegro had issued an international warrant for Dragan Kovačević, Serbia would have known about it without a doubt through the unified notification system in the Interpol network. As of today at 12:XNUMX p.m., there is no warrant," the MUP said.
They also say that if the Montenegrin police are looking for Kovačević on their territory, the Serbian MUP does not and cannot know anything about it.
"If Montenegro wants to check whether Dragan Kovačević is on the territory of Serbia, all he needs to do is send us a request and we will have the basis to carry out appropriate checks. We call on Mr. Abazović and all other politicians to refrain from attacking the MUP of Serbia and to respect the work and perseverance of all members of the MUP in the fight against organized crime," concluded the MUP of Serbia.
