Popović: I will still be called to testify at the trial for the murder of Oliver Ivanovic

"Also, since only Marina, Oliver's ex-wife, and the eldest son Nikola were injured, the lawyers suggested that I write a request to the court that my son Bogdan be among the injured parties because he has legal rights, and I will do it," Popović said.

Member of Parliament of Serbia, Milena Popović, said today that she will be called to testify at the trial of those accused of participation in the murder of her unmarried husband, Oliver Ivanović.

Popović told the Beta agency that the lawyers following the trial in Pristina informed her that she is on the list of witnesses in the proceedings against the defendants for Ivanović's murder.

"Also, since only Marina, Oliver's ex-wife, and the eldest son Nikola were injured, the lawyers suggested that I write a request to the court that my son Bogdan be among the injured, because he has legal rights, and I will do it," said Popović.

On July 6, the trial for the murder of the leader of the Civic Initiative "Freedom, Democracy, Justice" Oliver Ivanović began in the Basic Court in Pristina.

According to the indictment of the Kosovo Special Prosecutor's Office, six people are accused of murdering Ivanović: Marko Rošić, Nedeljko Spasojević, Rade Basara, Silvana Arsović, Dragiša Marković and Žarko Jovanović.

Ivanovic was killed on January 16, 2018, with multiple shots in the back, while entering the premises of his party in North Mitrovica.
