The border crossings (in Serbia they are called administrative) in the north of Kosovo Brnjak and Jarinje are still under blockade due to the protests of Serbs who are dissatisfied with the decision of the Pristina authorities to cancel plates with a neutral marking.
The roads Leposavić - Raška and Ribarići - Zubin potok are blocked for traffic, and the situation at the crossings is calm, reported Radio Television of Serbia (RTS).
Several armored vehicles of the special police unit are located not far from the Jarinje crossing, and yesterday five KFOR soldiers reached the crossing for the first time and returned back, as announced by the command of international forces in Pristina, as part of increased patrols.
Serbs from the north of Kosovo demand the cancellation of the decision on the replacement of license plates, and the withdrawal of the special units of the Kosovo police that supervise the implementation of this measure.
Office for Kosovo and Metohija: An attack on every Serb in Kosovo and Metohija is an attack on the entire Serbian people
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija of the Government of Serbia assessed today the attack on a group of Serbs in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica as an unacceptable incident that is a continuation and consequence of Pristina's actions.
The statement added that "an attack on every Serb in Kosovo and Metohija is an attack on the entire Serbian people", and that the "instigators of the manhunt" will be held accountable for what they do.
"A multi-ethnic society is not built with knives, bottles, demonstrations of force, or hatred towards neighbors and fellow citizens, and these days it has become more than clear that Pristina wants Serbs either to be gone, or to be locked up in reserves, without the right to move, language and free opinion," the statement said.
A group of about 15 Serbs was attacked yesterday in the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, and according to a statement by the Kosovo police, ten people were arrested for the attack, two of them minors.
