The delegations of Belgrade and Pristina reached an agreement in principle in Brussels on resolving the crisis at the administrative crossings in the north of Kosovo. As Pristina's chief negotiator Besnik Bisljimi told reporters in Brussels, the agreement was reached in three points, reports N1.

The first point stipulates that plates will no longer be removed at administrative crossings, nor will trial plates be issued, and this measure should begin to be applied on Monday.

As Bisljimi explained, the agreement stipulates that both the Serbian and Kosovo sides use stickers instead of removing license plates from next week.

The second point envisages the formation of working groups for a permanent solution to the issue of freedom of movement, within six months.

The third point envisages the withdrawal of ROSU, to be replaced by KFOR.

Pristina conditions the withdrawal of special units of the Kosovo Police by removing the barricades set up by Serb representatives, Bisljimi specified.

"According to this agreement, KFOR will be deployed at checkpoints on Saturday, and after a few hours they will be replaced by units of the special police unit, which, in parallel with the barricades, will leave the border crossings," said the representative of Pristina.

N1 also states that the delegations of Belgrade and Pristina were not at the same negotiating table today in Brussels, but only had bilateral meetings with the EU's special representative for dialogue, Miroslav Lajčak.

"We had several meetings, all of them bilateral, with Mr. Lajcak, who then mediated between the parties. Our goal was clear – to achieve de-escalation and maintain reciprocity with license plates. So far we have reached the final draft, which is almost in The final agreement is only on the Serbian side," said Bisljimi.

The negotiations are not over, the Belgrade delegation at Lajčak

The meeting of the Belgrade delegation with Lajčak is ongoing.

In the meantime, EU spokesman Peter Stano announced on Twitter, stressing that the negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina are not over yet.

"Negotiations are continuing in order to find a solution to the current crisis in the north of Kosovo," Stano said.
