Kosovo Prime Minister Aljbin Kurti said that today's action by the Kosovo police was preceded by an intensive investigation and that it was carried out by order and in coordination with the competent prosecutor's office and the court.
Kurti confirmed on his Facebook account that the police action was over and called on citizens in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica not to fall under the influence of media from Serbia that "defend crime, corruption and smuggling and want to politicize them both ethnically".
Kurti stated that "goods and evidence, which represent material evidence, were confiscated."
"Crime and criminal groups will not be tolerated and will be suppressed. We will fight against smuggling and prevent it," Kurti wrote.
