The leader of the largest Macedonian opposition party VMRO DPMNE, Hristijan Mickoski, announced this evening that a new parliamentary majority has been agreed in the Assembly of North Macedonia.
Along with that post, he posted photos on Facebook with the leaders of the party "Ljevica", Alijasa za Albaniance, Alternativa and Besa, which is a partner with SDSM in the Government of North Macedonia.
"A new future is coming, new time and new hope. Strong challenges await us. We are aware and grateful for the support. Together we will succeed. Macedonia will succeed. We have a new parliamentary majority," Mickoski pointed out.
The opposition VMRO DPMNE with the parties whose leaders were at the meeting with Mickoski has 61 deputies in the 120-seat parliament.
Hristijan Mickoski's party defeated the rival SDSM in the local elections, which is why the leader of that ruling party and the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, resigned from both positions, but he pointed out that it is not time for extraordinary parliamentary elections and that the ruling coalition is stable.
