The widow of the murdered Serbian politician Oliver Ivanović, Milena Popović, called on the Prosecutor's Office today to "not turn a blind eye" to Boban Bogdanović's claims about the alleged orderer and perpetrators of the murder of her unmarried husband, stating that one name from that statement "matches" her findings.
Regarding Bogdanović's statement to KRIK, that Ivanović was killed by Ljubomir Lainović from Novi Sad, that the order for the murder was businessman Zvonko Veselinović, and that the logistics were prepared by the vice-president of the Serbian List, Milan Radoičić, Popović stated that the Prosecutor's Office "was enough in the role of ficus" and " we did not observe what was happening in the criminal circles".
"Although the name of the alleged killer surprised me and I admit that I have never heard of him, I have to say that one name matches from Bogdanović's story and what I knew from Oliver and what I learned after his murder. That name is Milan Radoičić." Popovic said.
She stated that Radoičić was "a man whom Oliver identified as the leader of a powerful criminal structure in the north of Kosovo", and added that "Oliver's actions were aimed at breaking and cleaning that structure".
"There was open hostility between them and it was not hidden. The name of Milan Radoičić was always mentioned with anxiety in our house, especially when Oliver started receiving more and more serious threats. Don't be fooled, maybe Oliver can no longer testify about that, but here I am," Popovic said.
She said that "it is not her job to look for the murderer", but that, "observing the Prosecutor's Office, she gets the urge every day to take matters into her own hands".
"Even though I would have many reasons to doubt the motives of this man (Bogdanović) who has just come forward, or the motives of the media for releasing such information a few days before the elections, my decision is not to deal with it. It is not my job," she said. is Popović, MP from the Serbian Progressive Party.
She added that "she has less and less strength to remain silent", that she "believes in the system of the country she lives in", but that she is "ready for anything, if (the system) disappoints her".
"This testimony of the best friend of the murdered Aleksandar Gligorijevic opens again a chapter that, it seems to me, everyone is trying to close before time, and that's why I call on the Prosecutor's Office not to turn a blind eye to this testimony of Boban Bogdanović. Are you a combination of crime and influential individuals or are you an institution that is fighting to rid the country of crime? Finally show what you are, so that we know," said Popović.
She also stated that she "reads and listens with a heavy heart about the information that surfaced about the orderers and the killer" of Oliver Ivanovic.
"Without going into the analysis of the accuracy and veracity of that information, my emotions are divided. On the one hand, I feel a painful excitement that the ball is unraveling because we all, because of Oliver, who was a rarely virtuous man, deserve to know who and why" drilled', as the alleged and now deceased killer boasted," added Milena Popović.
Bogdanović told KRIK that his murdered friend Aleksandar Gligorijević, a former member of the Veljko Belivuk clan, told him on March 7, 2020 that Oliver Ivanović was killed by Ljubomir Lainović, "the son of the once fierce Novi Sad guy Branislav Lainović Dugi".
"He committed the murder. The man who organized his arrival in Kosovo, who prepared the logistics of Oliver Ivanovic's murder is Milan Radoičić. The man who ordered Oliver's murder is Zvonko Veselinović. That's what Aleksandar Gligorijević Puke told me," he said. is Bogdanović for KRIK.
