The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, said that his country has been organizing a wedding for three years and is waiting "for the bride to arrive from Brussels", but she did not come, and said that despite this, he will not lose hope, the Albanian portal ABC News reported.

"I think the negotiations should have been opened many years ago, maybe it will be next year, but we will continue to dream," said Rama.

He emphasized that the European Union should change its attitude, and not leave it to politicians to deal with history, as is now the case with Bulgaria, reports N1.

We are a Balkan that comes with some problems, we want to be part of the EU, and if some countries, like Bulgaria in this case, use the veto to discuss history on a political level, it is even more complicated, said Rama.

According to him, whenever politicians deal with history to solve it, the most likely result is that history becomes more complicated.

"All this is a shame, connected to the spirit of expansion. Bulgaria is the most outstanding example of this perverted spirit. The EU must change, it must not function like this anymore, for one country to take another country hostage," said Rama, reports Kosovo Online.
