Vučić, Rama and Kovačevski on the intensification of cooperation within the framework of the Open Balkans

The leaders of Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania held an online meeting today to intensify cooperation within the Open Balkans initiative.

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said that he spoke with the Prime Ministers of Albania and North Macedonia, Edi Ram and Dimitra Kovačevski, about the upcoming meeting and wine and food fair that will be held in Belgrade in September, organized by the Open Balkans initiative.

"We agreed that this great and unique manifestation, which we believe will grow into a good friendly tradition, is also an exceptional promotion of our three countries, but also an opportunity for producers from the region to join and present their best and exclusive products," he wrote. is Vučić on Instagram.

He added that he and Ramo and Kovačevski arranged a meeting of the Working Group on cooperation in the fields of energy, food safety and finance, which will be held in Tirana in mid-July.

The government in Skopje announced that today's online meeting was dedicated to intensifying cooperation in order to jointly overcome difficulties in the supply of food and energy.

The leaders agreed on the creation of mixed interdepartmental working groups for crisis topics and on the formation of a joint agency for attracting foreign investments, according to the announcement of the Government of North Macedonia.

It is added that the three leaders emphasized the importance of the activities undertaken to strengthen regional connectivity and enable the free movement of people, capital, goods and services.
