Rama: Kosovo has two paths, one is return and war, and the other is to sit at the table of the "Open Balkans"

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said today that he supports the Government of Kosovo 100 percent regarding the tensions in the north of Kosovo.

"Yesterday's event is a reflection of the deep difficulty that exists in this relationship and the exercise of sovereignty over the entire territory of the state of Kosovo, based on the agreement agreed between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels. Rama emphasized that the Kosovo government made the right decision by implementing reciprocity, and then postponed it for 30 days, and that in such situations, Kosovo has two ways, one is return and war, and the other is to sit at the "Open Balkans" table.

"These situations do not show that the 'Open Balkans' is unnecessary or wrong. They do not show that our approach to Serbia and rapprochement policy is unnecessary, these situations show why the 'Open Balkans' is needed. This is the reason why Kosovo should come and sit at the table "Open Balkans". When things go wrong, there are two ways. One is war, from which no one gains, the other way is to build peace. We are human beings and we have an obligation to leave peace to our children," said Rama.

The Albanian Prime Minister called on the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, regarding the latest events in Kosovo, not to give "any justification to certain groups in the north of Kosovo".

"I call on the President of Serbia not to give any justification to certain groups in the north of Kosovo, who for their own reasons oppose the application of the agreement that must be applied and which is valid in order to give greater credibility to the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia," said Rama.

The Albanian Prime Minister stated that the agreements agreed with the other party should be implemented and not discussed.
