Ivanić: We have evidence that could invalidate the elections in RS, Dodik's time is over

Former member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Mladen Ivanić stated that there is evidence of electoral irregularities that could invalidate the elections in the Republic of Srpska (RS).

"I believe that there were a lot of irregularities on election day, especially after 23 p.m. when (SNSD leader and RS presidential candidate) Milorad Dodik realized that he might lose," Ivanić told the regional N1 television.

According to him, then the opposition observers were removed from the polling stations.

"We have illogical data. We will see what the Central Election Commission (CEC) will say, and we have evidence that could even invalidate the elections in RS," said Ivanić, who is also the honorary president of the Party of Democratic Progress (PDP).

He went on to say that the opposition's candidate for president of the RS, Jelena Trivić, achieved a very good result, with which he was "impressed".

"She was a very strong and good candidate," assessed Ivanić.

He added that Dodik has lost credibility, even if the results of the presidential election are not annulled.

"He lost politically and his credibility was damaged. And that is a message for him – that his time has passed," Ivanić stated.

Speaking about the results of the elections at the level of the entire BiH, he assessed that the only change is Denis Bećirović (SDP), instead of Bakir Izetbegović (SDA).

"If Bećirović stays on the course of his messages, there will be no changes, because I believe that in some situations he can be harsher than Izetbegović," said the former member of the BiH Presidency.

He also said that Željka Cvijanović, who won for the Serbian member of the BiH Presidency, "is not the person who makes the decisions, Milorad Dodik makes them".

"Because of the same composition, SNSD together with HDZ and SDA, we will continue to have the same story - stagnation and conflicts", believes Ivanić.

Speaking about the imposed decisions of the High Representative in BiH, Kristijan Šmit, he said that "he does not know if it is good that 27 years after the war in BiH, there is a High Representative, who even makes changes to the Constitution".
