Vučić: In the morning, we submit a request for the return of the army and police to Kosovo to Kfor

At the session of the Government of Serbia, a decision was made that tonight in electronic form, and tomorrow morning at the administrative crossing, the request, which is in accordance with Resolution 1244, will be delivered to the commander of KFOR - that a certain number of military and police personnel, ranging from hundreds to thousands, return to Kosovo, President Aleksandar Vučić said after the session.

As N1 writes, he said that the decision was made unanimously.

This is the first time that the Government of Serbia has adopted such a request, he added and repeated that he does not think there is a possibility that Kfor will accept the request.

N1 adds that Vučić believes that it is important to send the request to Kfor now for the protection of the Serbian population, and above all for the control of administrative crossings, "or as they call border crossings", especially in Jarinje and Brnjak.

When asked why it was important for the request to be formal, he said that it was important so that in a different future they wouldn't be told "well, you never asked for it, and you had the right. If you didn't ask for it, how can we give it to you?" .

"I don't think there is a possibility that they will accept our request, not because it would be bad, if they had thought better it would contribute to peace, reducing tensions, it would contribute to a completely different view of the future and the possibility of finding some compromise solutions. However, they they didn't even want to hear that, because it's a finger in the eye of those who think they have the right to decide about us without us," Vučić said in an address to the nation on RTS.

He adds, however, that according to Resolution 1244 Kfor cannot give a formal negative answer, but can postpone the decision, say that the conditions have not been met, but cannot formally refuse.
