For the first time since 2000, the President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), Bakir Izetbegović, will not hold any position in the government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After 23 years, as announced by the Sarajevo media, Izetbegović will only be the president of the SDA, since it was confirmed today that he will not be a candidate for a delegate in the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
From 2000 to 2002, he was a member of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton, from 2002 to 2006, he was a member of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, and from 2006 to 2010, he was a member of the Parliament of BiH.
From 2010 to 2018, he was a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in the last term he was a delegate in the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Today, the SDA nominated former members of the BiH Presidency Šefik Džaferović and Safet Softić for the House of Peoples of BiH.
The SDA should have two representatives in the Bosniak delegate club in the House of Peoples of Bosnia and Herzegovina, one delegate will be given by the Democratic Front (DF) of Željko Komšić, while two more delegates should be nominated by the pro-Bosnian coalition "Osmorka".
