Kosovo secured enough votes for membership in UNESCO, but two laws related to religious equality need to be passed first, said Kosovo's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bedjet Pacoli.
Pacoli, who is participating in the session of the UN General Assembly with the Pristina delegation, told KTV that he had a series of meetings in the USA, and that he secured new votes for Kosovo's membership in UNESCO.
According to Tanjug, he said that he studied the strategy and the way in which votes are secured.
"I am encouraged and say that we will have votes for UNESCO. Today we had a very important meeting with a friendly country that recognized Kosovo and in the conversation with it, Kosovo was practically guaranteed between 15 and 20 votes for UNESCO," Pacoli said.
