The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said today that, although Serbia respects all the results of the United Nations, some Western powers do not respect the resolution 1244 of the UN Security Council when it comes to Serbia.
Vučić stated at the "Expansion of European Horizons" panel at the World Economic Forum that "Serbia has not attacked anyone so far and does not intend to" and that it will not change its position to respect Ukraine's sovereignty.
When asked by a journalist whether he considered the President of Russia Vladimir Putin to be a war criminal, he replied that he would answer questions and not to already defined positions before the trial and verdict of that type took place, and that he did not agree with the West's claims that he Russian leader crazy.
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that, although there are disagreements with Serbia regarding the strengthening of Putin's influence and the status of Kosovo, Albania must not remain blind to other issues that it can discuss with Belgrade and that it wants the two countries to understand each other better.
He added that with every signal coming from the EU that indicates the postponement of European integration of the countries of the Western Balkans, the popularity of Putin and China in those countries is growing.
"That does not apply to Albania. In our country, we love the EU 99 percent, and the USA 100 percent. We are loyal to empires. Even if the EU collapses, we will remain loyal," said Rama.
The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, said that the institution, after the corruption scandal, needs to implement reforms that have not happened since the 1980s and to "fill the holes" with urgent measures in order for the EP to regain its integrity, compatibility and responsibility.
