The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, said today that not a single piece of Serbian weapons, tools, or ammunition was sold to Russia or Ukraine, and that those who claim otherwise are "liars, denouncers and should be ashamed because they are harming Serbia."
"For Serbia, in accordance with international laws, there are so-called permitted users and Serbia can only export to such countries. We have done everything in accordance with the law, we are as clean as a tear," Vučić said in Doha, where he is participating in a conference organized by of the United Nations.
Regarding the allegation that weapons were exported to Ukraine from Serbia via Turkey, he said that Serbia "protected itself additionally" knowing that there was a possibility that some of the goods would end up somewhere else.
"We added that it is impossible to export the ammunition that we gave to Turkey without our consent," said Vučić, noting that Serbia "didn't force anyone to go to war."
