Sebija Izetbegović lost the title of full professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo

Sebija Izetbegović, general director of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), today lost the title of full professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo.

Sebija Izetbegović is the wife of the leader of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović, and in the October elections she won a parliamentary mandate in the Sarajevo Canton Assembly.

The decision to revoke the title was made by a majority of votes by the Senate of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), and according to the Sarajevo Avaz, 28 members of the Senate were in favor of revoking her academic status, four were against it, while seven abstained from voting.

In this way, the decision of the UNSA Senate from 2014 on the election of Sebija Izetbegović as a full professor in the field of "Gynecology and Obstetrics" at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo was invalidated.

Earlier, the UNSA Senate revoked Sebija Izetbegović's master's degree because, as they stated, she did not fulfill all obligations at the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo in the prescribed manner.
