By order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, the boy's father, VK (48), was detained for up to 48 hours on suspicion of having committed a criminal offense - serious offenses against public safety.
Previously, the on-site investigation was carried out by on-duty deputy public prosecutors of the Department for General Crime and the Department for Juveniles of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, who ordered that a statement be taken from the KK in the presence of an employee of the Center for Social Work and that a medical examination be carried out, after which The center will decide what measures it will take further under its jurisdiction.
Also, according to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office, blood was ordered to be taken from K. K for toxicological analysis, in order to determine whether he was under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, or other psychoactive substances at the time of the commission of the crime.

Belgrade Police Chief Veselin Milić said earlier today at the Government's press conference that they are mute in the face of a huge human tragedy that causes sadness and pain, and he obliges the members of the MUP of Serbia to inform about the real factual situation.
He stated that the suspect planned everything for a month and that he had a list, and that he had set priority targets.
He stated that around 8.40:XNUMX a.m. this morning, the deputy director of the school, Ivanka Jovanović, called the police on duty and said that a child had entered the school with a firearm and was shooting randomly, reports RTS. Police patrols were immediately dispatched.
"After that, at 8.42:10 an unknown person called and introduced himself as Kosta Kecmanović. He said that he had shot several people in Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School, Ulica Kralja Milutina No. XNUMX. When the police arrived at the scene, it was determined that a firearm had been used on the part of the aforementioned boy, who called our emergency service, during which eight students of the school were killed, seven of whom were girls and one boy," Milić said.

Ružić expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, stating that no one can return children to their parents, reports RTS.
He thanked the courage of the teachers and everyone who tried to prevent the tragedy.
"When you see those scenes, it is unimaginable what it was like for the children who experienced the fear of guards and teachers who tried to prevent the tragedy and protect what is most sacred to them, which is the children," said Ružić.
When asked if the child who committed the crime reported that he was a victim of peer violence, Ružić said that there are findings from the clinic in Tiršova and the center for social work, according to which the child came with a cut on his lip that he received at a private acting school.
"On this basis, it cannot be concluded that further action was necessary in terms of solving any kind of problem that occurred with that child," said Ružić.

The head of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC), patriarch Porfirije, today expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and stated that "in excruciating pain, he listens to the news about the disaster, the like of which has never happened in our nation and our Motherland".
"I pray to the Savior Christ for the injured children and school workers. I pray to the Savior for their parents, brothers, sisters, relatives and I express my deepest condolences to them. The prayers and love of the Risen Lord and all our human care and attention are with you today, our dear children and teachers who are in Belgrade hospitals today," said the patriarch.
As stated in the press release of the Information Service of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Porfirije said that he is praying for peace and mutual love.
"And I ask that everyone do everything in their power to stop and condemn any kind of violence, and especially for the promotion of violence in the public," said Patriarch Porfirije.
