Russian anti-war activist Peter Nikitin announced today that after being detained at Belgrade's "Nikola Tesla" airport, where he had been since Wednesday, he was allowed to enter Serbia.
In a video address on his Facebook profile, Nikitin said that he had passed passport control, but that he was still at the airport, where he had a meeting with the Ombudsman.
"At 19:19 p.m. I will come in front of the Assembly of Serbia to celebrate. We are not canceling the rally that was announced for XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.," said Nikitin.
The Association of the Russian Democratic Society, of which Nikitin is a member, previously announced that protest in front of the Serbian Parliament, in order to demand that Nikitin be allowed to enter Serbia.
Peter Nikitin, who has been living in Serbia for several years and participates in the organization of anti-war protests in Belgrade, was detained at the Belgrade airport on Wednesday evening.
According to him, the Security and Information Agency (BIA) forbade him to return to Serbia after his vacation, due to what he believes to be his political activities.
