Brnabić: 12.000 households were partially or completely destroyed during the storm

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić estimated today in Futog that almost 12.000 households were partially or completely destroyed during the "storm".

Brnabić said that in the period from July 19 to 24, a total of 13 local governments declared a state of emergency, but that the city of Novi Sad and the municipality of Bačka Palanka were the hardest hit.

She also said that they have preliminarily listed the damage and that the priorities for damage compensation will be residential buildings and primary and secondary schools, and after that health institutions, and public purpose buildings.

Brnabić said that the damage is measured in "hundreds of millions of euros", and that it is the largest in local self-governments in Vojvodina.

She said that tomorrow there will be a meeting of the working group for the rehabilitation of the consequences of the floods that have occurred, at which they will see how the "payment and compensation of damages" is going.
